This is not how God planned it from the beginning.
God created you and His word shows us how He loves and cherishes marriage. He likens His relationship with you as a marriage relationship. He never wants you to leave Him.
Although, you might feel depressed along life's road, you might feel bored, tired or hungry, it does not mean that you should quit your marriage with your creator. You feel this way because you let other things take the place of quiet times and communication with Him. If you feel depressed in your marriage with your wife or husband, it is because you have neglecting quiet times with each other as well as quiet times with God, with whom both of you are in a relationship.
No matter who you are on earth, no matter your religious belief, you are in a relationship with your creator, and this relationship maybe a pleasant and affectionate one or a cold and unconcerned one.
Proverbs 5:18 -21 says:
'Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth.
Let her be as the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished always with her love.
And why wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger?
For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings.'
Verse 19 says 'let her be as the loving hind.'
This means that it is your responsibility to shape your wife or husband pleasant to you. Whenever you look at your partner and get irritated by him or her as the case may be, you need to fight that feeling and try as much as possible to make your partner become attractive to you.
Jesus always does this. No matter how we sin, disobey or reject Him, He still loves us and comes to us. John 3.
